💊 🔎 This one-day Medication Assessor Competency Course equips learners with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to assess and verify the competency of staff administering medication in health and social care settings. This course is designed for senior staff or managers who oversee medication practices, ensuring that staff members follow safe, person centred procedures in line with current legislation and best practices. ⏰ Duration: A minimum of seven contact hours in the classroom, including both practical and theoretical components. 🎯 Syllabus: The course covers a wide range of essential topics, including: - Legal frameworks and responsibilities for medication administration - Safe and effective medication handling and storage - Assessing competency: standards, tools, and techniques - Identifying and managing medication errors - Record-keeping and documentation for medication - Consent, capacity, and the right to refuse medication - Promoting person centred care in medication administration - Principles of confidentiality and information sharing - Training and supporting staff in medication administration - Medication reviews and liaising with healthcare professionals 📃 Assessment: Learners will be assessed through ongoing summative evaluations, including practical assessments, observation of competency assessments, and scenario-based activities conducted by the instructor throughout the course. 🥇 Certificate: Upon successful completion, learners will be awarded a Medication Competency Assessor certificate, valid for 2 years. 🧑🤝🧑 Numbers: The course allows a maximum of 12 delegates to ensure personalised attention and practical skill development. Cancellation Policy
For online courses: 24 hours notice For face-to-face courses: If you cancel the course at any time then you must inform us as soon as possible via email. You will have to pay a cancellation charge calculated in accordance with the table below (“the Cancellation Charge”) in addition to an administration fee of £50.00 (“the Administration Fee”). Cancellation Charges are necessary because cancellations cost Us money but We will only require You to pay a reasonable sum to reimburse Us for Our lost revenue. The time before the proposed date of course that we receive notification of cancellation Cancellation Charge as a percentage of the balance of the Fees Less than 2 weeks 100% Between 2 and 4 weeks 50% Longer than 4 weeks 0% Within 7 days of the notice of cancellation being given to us, we will either:- Return to you the balance of the Fees, having deducted the Administration Fee and the applicable Cancellation Charge where you had paid the Fees to us in accordance prior to giving notice to cancel the Course; or Invoice you for the balance of the Cancellation Charge and the Administration Fee where you had not paid the Fees prior to giving notice to cancel the Course. hello@slanjavalearning.co.uk
