Service Description
Caregivers responsible for catheter care must possess the proficiency to mitigate infection risks and deliver secure assistance while upholding dignity and respect. This Catheter Care course is designed to furnish care providers with critical insights into catheter care protocols. The curriculum delves into the rationales behind catheter usage and the diverse catheter types employed. ⏰ Duration: A minimum of 3.5 contact hours in the classroom, consisting of practical and theoretical activities. 🎯 Syllabus: A range of subjects are covered including:- • What is catheterisation. • Types of urinary catheter. • Reasons for catheterisation. • The equipment used for catheterisation. • The risks associated with catheterisation and how they are managed (including CAUTIs). • How to empty and change a urinary drainage bag. • When to call the GP/ District Nurse. *Please note this course does not train delegates to catheterise* 📃Assessment: Summative practical assessment is ongoing by the instructor, along with a written assessment. 🥇 Certificate: Will be issued, subject to successful assessment. Cancellation Policy
For online courses: 24 hours notice For face-to-face courses: If you cancel the course at any time then you must inform us as soon as possible via email. You will have to pay a cancellation charge calculated in accordance with the table below (“the Cancellation Charge”) in addition to an administration fee of £50.00 (“the Administration Fee”). Cancellation Charges are necessary because cancellations cost Us money but We will only require You to pay a reasonable sum to reimburse Us for Our lost revenue. The time before the proposed date of course that we receive notification of cancellation Cancellation Charge as a percentage of the balance of the Fees Less than 2 weeks 100% Between 2 and 4 weeks 50% Longer than 4 weeks 0% Within 7 days of the notice of cancellation being given to us, we will either:- Return to you the balance of the Fees, having deducted the Administration Fee and the applicable Cancellation Charge where you had paid the Fees to us in accordance prior to giving notice to cancel the Course; or Invoice you for the balance of the Cancellation Charge and the Administration Fee where you had not paid the Fees prior to giving notice to cancel the Course. hello@slanjavalearning.co.uk
